How we can help you

As a Volunteer Centre, we aim to give you the opportunity to advertise your volunteering vacancies to as wide an audience as possible for free.

We achieve this by promoting your volunteering vacancies on the national volunteering database www.do-it.org.uk, and providing information and advice to potential volunteers on an individual basis.

How long does it take to get a volunteer?
This depends on a variety of factors.

  • Does the volunteer role require any specialist skills?

  • How interesting is the volunteer role?
  • How much information have you provided?

For more information on how to create volunteer roles and the kind of information potential volunteers look for please contact us on 01737 762115 or by e-mail

Getting started
To advertise your volunteering roles with us we will ask you to register your organisation with us. This is completely free and simply involves completing a registration form which will give us some basic information about your organisation and your aims. On this form, we will ask you confirm that you have policies and structures and place to involve volunteers in your organisation. Please refer to the following list for details. If you have any queries or need support to put some of these in place, please contact us. There is a second form to register your volunteer vacancies.

To make volunteering a positive experience for both you and your volunteers, we ask you to consider the following before registering with us

We also strongly encourage groups to have the following:
